Deshitelegraph is America’s first bilingual 24/7 online news portal, based in New York which is accessible both in English and Bengali. The mission of Deshitelegraph is to unify Bangladeshis across the globe and educate, inform, entertain and, above all, inspire its readers.

Deshitelegraph is founded by Misba Abdin and Barrister Afsana Monir on August 20, 2016 to provide resources to the Bangladeshi Americans and beyond.

Today online news portals are cited as the most reliable source for current events. Bangladeshi communities in New York and beyond have more than one Bengali printed newspapers, however, very few of these newspapers cover the details of local government activities, local politics, local jobs, community/neighborhood events, zoning information, local social services, real estate/housing, immigration news/updates, and any other benefits information provided by the government. Above all, these printed newspapers are only accessible in Bengali, thus limiting information for those whose first language is not Bengali.

Deshitelegraph is committed on maintaining the connection with Bangladesh through stories, news, and Deshis of America (special segment featuring the untold stories of Bangladeshi Americans) that we offer our readers every week. It is our job to constantly look at the future.
